Happiness in Hard Times

Happiness in Hard Times

If you are looking for some insights into how to can train yourself to be happy even during hard times, you will be inspired by some of Renegade’s favourite “Happiness Experts” - Scott Williams, the crew at Humour Australia, Andrew Matthews, Dr Tim Sharpe and Anthony Ackroyd. Here are three easy tips to try on the weekend to start you on the happiness trail:

  1. Remind yourself of reasons to be grateful. When things look really dark, it’s hard to feel grateful, but remembering what’s good in your life can help put problems into perspective.
  2. Remember your body. Take a twenty-minute walk outside to boost your energy and dissolve stress; don't forget to nourish your body with healthy food and get enough sleep.
  3. Do something fun. Temporarily distract yourself from the stress, and re-charge your battery, with an enjoyable activity.
